Colorectal Cancer

As the name suggests, colorectal cancer refers to cancer of the colon and/or rectum. The colon is the last 5 feet of the large intestine before the rectum and the rectum is the last 5-6 inches which starts at the colon and ends at the anus. Colorectal cancers can be subdivided into either colon or rectal cancers depending on the where they start. Colorectal cancers typically start with growths on the inner lining of the colon or rectum.
